Christian Dior

Already half a century the name of Christian Dior is a fashion synonym. Dior is an elegance, feminity and perfect taste. The Dior first collection waited the deafening success.

1947. A new silhouette new look. After a habitual image of the woman-soldier, this collection made furor with its graceful womanly lines and the tightened waists. The newspaper sensation couldn't prove that the new silhouette was bad, more likely involved in a new word in Haute Couture world.

In the same 1947 Dior was handed over Oscar of Haute Couture. Till now this high distinction is awarded who has brought basic innovations in the trade. 

With 1947 for 1957, thinking out two different collections in a year, Dior continued shocking the public. The names cut hearing: "Nimbus", "Cyclone", "Vertical", "Tulip". Even each dress of a collection had the name. "The play" plot reflected a variety of the world with which so valued the couturier: theater, an opera, the literature, flowers, museums, Paris, secrets, cards. Surprisingly, but, being most magnificent of all Fashion Houses, Dior is popular in millions women. Followers of the legendary couturier and now carefully keep traditions of skill, its sight at a fashion. 

After Dior death, the House successfully existed under the direction of various designers: Yves Saint Laurent, Mark Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre and John Galliano. Now Ricardo Tisci supervises over the House.
